Eastpak Pride 2020 Collection

Eastpak continues to support the LGBT+ community following the success of its PRIDE collection last year to raise funds for ILGA.

Eastpak directors noted: We’re donating proceeds from our new Rainbow collection to ILGA, the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association. Since it was founded in 1978, ILGA has been committed to achieving equal human rights for LGBTI people through advocacy and research projects. Each donation to ILGA will help to fund LGBTI rights organisations and to educate the world on equality for all.

Ami x GLAAD: The Pride 2020 collection

AMI has been a steady ally of the LGBTQ community over the years, fully committing to give back, raise awareness, and support a number of charities against homophobia and transphobia.

For this year, the brand asked some of their friends to share what Pride meant to them.

From Benito Skinner, Conrad Ricamora, James Scully to Rebecca Black, Patricia Allison, Christine And The Queens, Soko, Taiki and Noah, Theo Germaine, Andrea Faccio, Dustin Muchuvitz, Agathe Mougin, L Devine, Jeffrey Bowyer Chapman, they all share strong values of friendship, love, inclusion and equality, the same values at the core of AMI's DNA.

Support the cause thanks to the Ami Rainbow capsule collection available here.

100% of the proceeds will be donated to the non-media advocacy GLAAD.

Since 1985 GLAAD's mission is to accelerate acceptance for the LGBTQ community through a global reach, to shape the narrative and provoke a dialogue against discrimlination and prejudice.

KAZAKY return with new single (and two new members)

Our favourite boy band is back with new single PUSH and we love everything about it!!

On Monday (June 24), in honor of Kyiv Pride in the Ukraine over the weekend, Kazaky premiered a new song and music video , directed by Alan Badoev.

Their new single PUSH marks their official return with two new members. 'PUSH’ has been the band’s first tribute to the LGBTQ+ community, which “has supported and continues to support Kazaky for nine years, and represent a world of acceptance and self-expression, thanks to which the band has managed to become heard and seen.”

It’s also dedicated to “all those who need freedom and courage to be themselves and have their voice” as Arur Gaspar ( KAZAKY’s lead singer) mentioned.

JOVÅN Spring/Summer 2019

JOVÅN (based in Milan) has been our addiction last season with his SS18 collection and we have to admit that he did it again with his Spring/Summer 2019 lines.

The founder and Creative director Jovan Stevanovic, continues his fashion journey and he presents men & women pieces in one collection with many lines available for him or her at the same time.

Unisex is the new black and JOVÅN SS19 meets Urban streetwear on its best. Metallic gold, black, yellow and lilac have been combined with red, white and denim blue elements and they propose the ideal look for those who dare to be different, to be unique.

Another remarkable statement are the JOVÅN  accessories which have been combined in a really playful way. Caps, backpacks, jewellery and our favourite JOVÅN socks have already been the new trend in Milan.

In conclusion is worth to mention the references to the LGBTQ+ community which have been  added in line with the new collection, reminding us the identity of the brand.

Sexy, playful, unique; JOVÅN is ready to hit the European market.

LFW AW18: Burberry

For the last time, Christopher Bailey presented his collection for Burberry AW18 in a show entitled Time. Held in the historical venue of the Dimco Buildings in West London, guests were met with an experience of past, present and future.

The show was dedicated to LGBTQ+ organisations, with the brand donating to three charities. It was certainly a moment of pride for Bailey, much like every aspect of the show championing the six colours of the Pride flag. The rainbow – a symbol of hope, happiness and inclusivity featured heavily throughout the show, whether it be from the reinvented check now incorporated with the colours (the Rainbow check), or Cara Delevingne’s floor-length cloak which she swept and swayed along the runway. The bright stripes appeared on sweaters, gilets and down one side of the oversized maxi skirt of Adwoa Aboah.

A Year Without George Michael

December 25, 2017 marks a year since the passing of George Michael. A music and fashion icon, an international pop star, a legend.

During the year there have been many public tributes to the Greek Cypriot pop star around the world, from awards shows to symphonies and fundraisers. It feels like the end of an era but I don't want to forget. I don't want to stop writing about him, listening to his music and posting his pictures on social media.

With his Christmas single LAST CHRISTMAS charting at no. 3 in the U.K today, the pop music pays tribute to his legacy and marks his name on the top of the list for another one year.

Rest in peace George Michael... You will always be 'alive' for us, for the LGBT community and the world, for the music. Xx
