WE LOVE: Victoria Beckham's new t-shirt for Pride

Victoria Beckham has designed a special t-shirt to mark LGBTQ+ Pride.

Showcasing the range on her Instagram account on Wednesday, the designer posted a picture of herself wearing the tee.

The plain white t-shirt is emblazoned with the phrase 'Everyone Deserves Love' in a colourful rainbow font, symbolic of the colours of Pride.

The creation is to mark both Pride - which is celebrated throughout June and July in various cities around the world - and the 50th anniversary of Stonewall uprising which saw LGBTQ+ rights groups fight against prejudice and discrimination from police forces at a gay bar in New York City in June 1969.

Beckham said she created the t-shirt as she wanted to mark both occasions and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and their 'continued message of positive change and inclusivity'.

A Freedom Movement 2019 - The Exhibition at Leman Locke, London

The lifestyle hotel in Aldgate East, continues to host worth seeing creative exhibitions. Leman Locke is now introducing Michelle Beatty and her new photographic series A Freedom Movement 2019.

Michelle is an Australian born Londoner who has spent a creative lifetime moving seamlessly from the carnival of catwalks and high fashion showrooms, to the subtle backdrops of fine art photography - landscapes, architecture and foreign, far-off lands. For the first time, Michelle has created a body of work that straddles these two parallel career tracks, and the contrasting sides of herself.

Leman Locke is proud to present her newest photographic series, where three talented subjects with backgrounds in ballet, modelling and choreography are captured in the prime of their lives; embodying strength, wisdom, and feminine beauty. The subjects are offset by strong skies, powerful waves and brooding clouds. The photography exhibition runs across all 22 floors of the East London lifestyle hotel, open to the public from 10th May until 31st July.

A new Azzedine Alaïa exhibition is coming to Milan this month

After the huge success of the London’s Design Museum exhibition "Azzedine Alaïa: The Couturier", a new announcement confirmed the good news.

The exhibition is travelling to Milan and it will be open on the 20th of September for four days only!

Showcasing his creations from the early 1980s and following his creative path right up until his final Paris Couture show in July 2017, the retrospective is curated by fashion historian Olivier Saillard, who, it’s safe to say, knows the ‘King of Cling’ and his work like the back of his hand.

Saillard was also behind Alaïa retrospective Je Suis Couturier, which took place in Paris earlier this year. The exhibition brought together looks including the iconic purple hooded gown worn by Grace Jones in 1985 Bond film A View to a Kill and a series of dresses worn by the likes of Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, and Helena Christensen.

Taking place in the Italian city’s Palazzo Clerici throughout fashion week, the exhibition runs from September 20-25. Book your flights now, fashion fans.

Versace’s AW18: New campaign with the longest-ever advertising image

Shot by Stephen Meisel, The Versace Fall Winter 2018 campaign features the longest-ever advertising image.

Side by side, the image features a cast of fifty four models symbolizing inlcusivity and diversity, key values for Donatella Versace and her vision for the brand.

“My team doesn’t just extend to my work team. The Versace Clans are made of all members of the Versace family – from customers to models, fans, photographers, stylists, friends, artists and all who believe that staying relevant means moving forward and making your voice heard – all who believe that fashion is not a way to just say ‘look at me’ but rather ‘look at me, I have something to say’.” she stated last when the very first promo video came out.

Saint Laurent SS19 at New York Fashion Week

Anthony Vaccarello takes inspiration from 1970s New York for Saint Laurent's spring-summer 2019 collection.

Saint-Laurent-Spring-Summer-2019-Mens-Collection-067-450x700.jpg

In fact, the season brought the French fashion house close to the iconic city with a show at New Jersey's Liberty Park. Saint Laurent's rocker-chic aesthetic was once again front and center for the occasion.

Black skinny jeans and cigarette trousers accented leather detailed blazer, suede jackets, and more. Sequins and glittered embellishments added an androgynous attitude to the collection. Meanwhile, sheer tops, frail scarves, and tailored jackets brought home a Parisian spirit.

The show closed with shirtless male models that were clad in sequined pants and covered in glitter body paint. source: thefashionisto.com

Thom Browne Fall 2018: a statement show to remember

Androgynous looks and grey flannel for women; pants down, heels and puppy heads for men.

A runway which looked like an art studio and “Lady painters painting portraits of ladies, in grey flannel.”  Models styled with androgynous outfits and with hair inspired from 18th century French aristocracy strolled along the runway, taking up positions for the painters while Madonna's 'Vogue' was the main soundtrack of the show.

For the second and main part of the show, models walked wearing deconstructed outfits, all in the 'fifty shades of grey' flannel Some remind us men's office clothes, some others school uniform and the hero pieces are definitely statements inspired by the same century.

Half dresses combined with others, skirts as tops and the opposite were some of the highlights.

And as a conclusion the most powerful statement of all: male models wearing grey dog head masks and heels walked out, all harnessed, followed by Grace Bol, the South Sundanese model holding their leashes and wearing a ball gown.

If the stripes on the bottle of the latest Byredo perfume look familiar, it won’t surprise you to learn that Byredo’s Ben Gorham collaborated with Off-White designer Virgil Abloh to create the Elevator Music capsule collection, including a fragrance, a hair mist and a hand cream with burnt amyris notes lifted by ambrette, bamboo and jasmine. Strong, graceful and perfect paired with Off-White denim or a t-shirt.
