Jacquemus Spring/Summer 2024: Our Favourite Looks

Jacquemus came to stay and he proved that once again with his latest SS24 show.

Fresh and innovative silhouettes, bold colors and shapes, playful textures and new combinations of fabrics, are only some of the SS24 Jacquemus men and women collection.

Check out below some of our favourite looks:

Edward Crutchley SS23 at London Fashion Week

We have seen him working with Kim Jones for many years, at Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and now Fendi couture. Edward Crutchley is probably one of the luxury fashion industry’s leading experts in fabric sourcing and development.

For his Spring Summer 2023 collection, he took inspiration from the greek mythology and the ancient Greek sea-god Proteus. “Even though it’s about ancient Greek mythology, there are no references. We’re not seeing a toga coming down the runway,” he stated.

The signs are strong though, and his promotional images were given the right message. The Greek Marbles and Sculptures will return to Greece!

Edward has also collaborated with ROKER shoes for that show and WE LOVE the extra edginess they add to his looks.

Check out his ‘boys looks’ below : Super sexy, unisex, playful.

DIOR Men Pre-Fall 2022: Watch the London show (Video)

Kim Jones brought a youthquake to London with an exhibition and runway show inspired by Jack Kerouac and the Beat Generation of writers.

Kim Jones brought an American spirit of freedom, the rebellious energy of youth culture — and the Brits’ knack for offbeat fashion — to the Dior men’s runway at Kensington Olympia in west London on Thursday night.

It was the first time since 2003 that Jones has staged a show in his home country, and he returned with a vengeance. He presented an eclectic pre-fall collection, followed by a massive, champagne-fuelled party — topped off with a surprise performance by Grace Jones.

Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2021 Menswear Collection

“I don’t like the ‘digital show’ solution,” said Domenico Dolce. “The fashion show cannot be substituted with something on a screen. You need the physical contact, the human connection. Because fashion begins with people.”

So that show actually happened and Dolce & Gabbana have presented their Spring Menswear Collection 2021 for Milan Fashion Week.

Strong DNA references in all the shades of blue and we love every piece of it:

Balenciaga Fall 2020-21 show: The new silhouettes

After the Balenciaga fashion show, we noticed all the new masculine silhouettes that Demna Gvasalia proposes for fall-winter 2020-2021 :

Having in mind the heritage of the brand and the favourite color of Cristóbal Balenciaga, Demna unveiled strong black pieces along with the sporty effects, and new design proposals.

Ludovic de Saint Sernin Fall 2020

The erotics of the exposed male chest are something to look at a bit closer this season. Well, at Ludovic de Saint Sernin, you can’t help it—the naked perfection of the youthful body, flashed with open shirt and gold medallion, is right at the center of attention with his brand. While the hench chest is nowhere to be seen on the runways, the comeback of a body type that hasn’t been seen since the ’70s (when all boys looked like this, not just Iggy and Bowie) is in full cry all at the 2020 men’s shows.

VALENTINO Fall 2020-21 show at Paris Fashion Week Men's

Maison VALENTINO has unveiled its FALL WINTER 2020-21 collection during Paris Fashion Week Men’s.

“Men are changing much more quickly in the last two decades because of women. And because of how work has changed.” noted the creative director of the brand, Pierpaolo Piccioli.

Guys these days should have no hang-ups about wearing coats and jackets stamped with photo prints or embroideries of flowers, Piccioli believes. Luxury for men and women is being dissolved into a median category. Valentino boys have segued seamlessly into carrying small cross-body bags. Some might be utility pouches, but others are indistinguishable from the mini-bags on chains that have been gendered as female for generations.

JW Anderson FW2020 menswear show at Paris Fashion Week

Jonathan Anderson is adept at bringing almost-forgotten art to the ambience of his shows—both for his own label and at Loewe.

There were the long, narrow shifts in paisley print carried over from his women’s collections, pleated peplum tops over shorts, skinny knits, and hefty padded coats. With that sure hand he has for eye-catching Instagrammable branding, he accessorized with heavy gilt chains swathed as belts, blown up as shoe-jewelry, and minimized as sewn-on half-necklaces. The JW Anderson anchor-like logo that he invented as a 23-year-old was stenciled into a felted tote bag and worked into a patchwork sweater. vogue.com

Missoni SS20 men's collection at Milan Fashion Week

Memories of Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin Inspire the Heady, Romantic Mix at Missoni SS20 show.

The menswear collection was fresh, candind and it served the new elegant style for the summer. Tailoring all the way with strong references of the DNA of the brand with the bold knitwear patterns to lead the runway. The colour pallete was mainly burgundy with cream and sand tones and…. the 50 shades of blue.

Milan Fashion Week: Prada Men AW19

The industrial grand hall of the Deposito, part of Fondazione Prada complex, has been transformed into an arena of light and shadows. Miuccia Prada is back at it again as she serves to us the fashion reality and she takes inspiration from old movies like Frankenstein.

When the collection itself appears, it follows suit. Black is the colour that dominates, highlighted by bursts of vivid coloured garments or accessories, such as multiple belts wrapped around the models waist, neon pink boots and bold red feathered headpieces and pale blue glasses that are reminiscent of scientific goggles.
