Gucci Spring 2027: Demna Reworks The House Codes

For Spring-Summer 2027, Gucci enters a new chapter under Demna, with a collection that revisits the House’s heritage through a contemporary lens. Vintage references set the tone, from cropped trousers and loafers to rugby shirts and classic Italian sportswear, establishing a familiar foundation for the designer’s evolving vision.

Rather than abandoning Gucci’s established codes, Demna builds upon them, layering recognisable signatures with unexpected proportions and styling choices. The oversized 3X belt, featuring three Horsebit details, emerges as one of the collection’s defining accessories.

Balancing heritage with experimentation, the collection reflects the tension between Gucci’s established identity and Demna’s desire to reshape it. Some looks make their strongest statement through the clothes themselves, while others lean into more elaborate styling. The result is a collection that captures a House in transition, as Demna begins to define a new direction for Gucci.

GUCCI is going seasonless with 2 shows per year.

The Kering-owned Italian megabrand joins stablemate Saint Laurent in breaking with the conventional fashion calendar.

“I will abandon the worn-out ritual of seasonalities and shows to regain a new cadence, closer to my expressive call,” said designer Alessandro Michele in a diary entry posted to Gucci’s Instagram.

“We will meet just twice a year,” the entry continues, “to share the chapters of a new story. Irregular, joyful and absolutely free chapters, which will be written blending rules and genres, feeding on new spaces, linguistic codes and communication platforms.” The Italian megabrand is planning a virtual press conference with select journalists for Monday.
