WE LOVE JW Anderson's Twisted Denim Campaign

JW Anderson puts a new spin on one of fashion’s most familiar staples with its latest Twisted Denim campaign, starring model and actress Dree Hemingway and her partner, Nick Delli Santi. The two appear together on camera for the first time, bringing an intimate, relaxed energy to the story.

At the centre of the collection is a deceptively simple idea: take the classic jean and turn it on its axis. The front construction is deliberately rotated, while the seams continue along the same altered direction, giving the silhouette an unexpected, almost sculptural character. It is a typically Jonathan Anderson gesture—taking an everyday wardrobe essential and disrupting its familiar proportions.

The collection remains deliberately wearable despite its unconventional construction. Designed as a unisex offering, the denim is produced in Japan from Japanese cotton, placing craftsmanship at the heart of the pieces.

The details reinforce that focus on construction. Inside, the garments feature a printed “Made in Japan” pocket bag, while a substantial leather patch carries the JW Anderson branding. Metal shank buttons and contrasting orange binding complete the finishing touches.

With Hemingway and Delli Santi sharing the frame, the campaign also underlines the collection’s fluid approach to dressing. Rather than presenting denim as belonging to a particular wardrobe or gender, JW Anderson treats it as a shared language—familiar, functional and just unconventional enough to feel new.

Twisted Denim is available now through JW Anderson stores worldwide and the brand’s online store.

JW Anderson x A.P.C : The Capsule Collection

The collaborative collection by JW Anderson and A.P.C. draws its creative spark from Joseph Beuys's iconic performance art piece, "I Like America and America Likes Me."

The collection embodies Beuys's abstract concepts through subtle design elements. The rough texture of the duffle coat subtly recalls the felt from his performance, while the ambulance and gallery address become graphic motifs woven into boldly coloured T-shirts and various pieces.

Comprising attire for both women and men, the collection centres around two distinct silhouettes: one, with a tailored and rocker aesthetic featuring black denim, a biker jacket, and hand-painted cotton knit; the other, a more bohemian style with loose shapes, multi-coloured knitwear, and distressed denim. A notable innovation is the introduction of stonewashed effects achieved through laser techniques, eliminating the need for chemical processes.

JW Anderson x Tom of Finland: The Capsule Collection

JW Anderson pays homage to Tom of Finland with a three-piece capsule collection celebrating the artist’s legacy.

Jonathan Anderson noted: “I collect many types of art, but drawings have always been a passion. And as a gay man and a designer, Tom of Finland has always fascinated me. To take his drawings and use them in my designs is a bit of a dream come true.”

The collection consists of a keyring, a visor and a tote bag, all available HERE

JW Anderson FW2020 menswear show at Paris Fashion Week

Jonathan Anderson is adept at bringing almost-forgotten art to the ambience of his shows—both for his own label and at Loewe.

There were the long, narrow shifts in paisley print carried over from his women’s collections, pleated peplum tops over shorts, skinny knits, and hefty padded coats. With that sure hand he has for eye-catching Instagrammable branding, he accessorized with heavy gilt chains swathed as belts, blown up as shoe-jewelry, and minimized as sewn-on half-necklaces. The JW Anderson anchor-like logo that he invented as a 23-year-old was stenciled into a felted tote bag and worked into a patchwork sweater. vogue.com

JW Anderson x Uniqlo: Their new collection is OUT NOW

For this fourth consecutive collaboration, JW Anderson continues to infuse his purely British DNA with the Japanese titan of the outerwear Uniqlo.

If, last season, the "cool-kid" of fashion across the Channel unveiled a summer wardrobe with Uniqlo where comfort remained spearhead, JW Anderson continues to give pride to England inspired by Saint Ives, a coastal city located in Cornwall County in the west of the country.
