The Queer 2022 Calendar by French artist & photographer Romain Berger

Romain Berger is a French artist and photographer who focus on the LGBTQ+ community for his artwork. He has seen his work published in European and US magazines, the SUM gallery in Vancouver has exhibited his work during the Queer Art Show, and he is now organising his new exhibition which will take place in his home country during Pride month.

‘‘Openly queer, I highlight, without modesty, a community often excluded and pointed out (gays, women, trans, drag queens...), trying to change mentalities at my humble level. This work allows me to talk about social and topical issues, but also to give a representation of the LGBTQ+ community on a background of ultra colourful, offbeat and erotic settings. I like to play with the codes of crypto-gay cinema and not leave the viewer indifferent’’ Romain noted.

The 33 years old artist has published a new 2022 calendar and he shares some of the pages of his latest project. A REY online exclusive:

Ludovic de Saint Sernin Fall 2020

The erotics of the exposed male chest are something to look at a bit closer this season. Well, at Ludovic de Saint Sernin, you can’t help it—the naked perfection of the youthful body, flashed with open shirt and gold medallion, is right at the center of attention with his brand. While the hench chest is nowhere to be seen on the runways, the comeback of a body type that hasn’t been seen since the ’70s (when all boys looked like this, not just Iggy and Bowie) is in full cry all at the 2020 men’s shows.

JW Anderson FW2020 menswear show at Paris Fashion Week

Jonathan Anderson is adept at bringing almost-forgotten art to the ambience of his shows—both for his own label and at Loewe.

There were the long, narrow shifts in paisley print carried over from his women’s collections, pleated peplum tops over shorts, skinny knits, and hefty padded coats. With that sure hand he has for eye-catching Instagrammable branding, he accessorized with heavy gilt chains swathed as belts, blown up as shoe-jewelry, and minimized as sewn-on half-necklaces. The JW Anderson anchor-like logo that he invented as a 23-year-old was stenciled into a felted tote bag and worked into a patchwork sweater. vogue.com

Givenchy Pre-Fall 2020: The Lookbook Presentation

For the Givenchy Pre-Fall 2020 collection, Artistic Director Clare Waight Keller took cues from Antiquity and transposed them to modern wardrobes designed for movement.

As lensed by photographer Sam Rock, contrasts of air and sea in an urban waterfront evoke the ebb and flow of history, nodding to the timelessness of mythology and the universal need to reconnect with nature.

Maison Margiela: AW19 men's collection

Maison Margiela AW19 offered up an antidote to digital overload.

John Galliano presented the latest collection for his band of ‘digital nomads’ and we love every single piece of it.

The show was on the tittles of every fashion site and magazine and here are the key elements of the Maison Margiela AW19 by John Galliano.

  • Painted hair, make up on men’s eyes, feathers and elements from the ‘Swan Lake’

  • Extra wide shoulders wih triangle shapes on the outerwear and belts as the main accessories completed the styling.
